Our AML and Verification Policy

We hold licence MGA/B2C/823/2023 from the Malta Gaming Authority, and that licence comes with strict anti-money-laundering (AML) obligations. This page sets out, in plain terms, what we verify, when we verify it, and what we ask of you.

Our AML Commitment Under MGA Rules

Money laundering is the attempt to make funds from criminal activity appear legitimate. Under our MGA licence and the applicable Maltese AML framework, we are required to know who our players are, understand where their funds come from, and report suspicious activity to the Financial Intelligence Analysis Unit (FIAU) where legally required.

We treat these obligations as a duty of care to every honest player on our platform. Identity checks protect your account from fraud and keep Lucky7even Casino a safe place to play. We never conduct checks to profile you for marketing; verification data is used only for compliance and security purposes.

When We Verify Your Identity

Verification happens at three trigger points, not all at once. We run automated identity checks at registration, we request full documents before your first withdrawal, and we review your account again at set thresholds.

  • Registration: name, date of birth and address are checked against electronic records.
  • First withdrawal: full document set (see below) is required.
  • Thresholds: additional checks when cumulative deposits reach 2,000 AUD or any single transaction is unusual for your profile.
  • Random reviews: we may re-verify accounts at any time as part of routine risk assessment.

Documents You Need to Provide

Before your first withdrawal we ask for three things: proof of identity, proof of address and proof that you own the payment method used. Each document must be valid, legible and show all four corners of the original.

  • Government-issued photo ID: passport, national ID card or driver's licence, in date.
  • Proof of address: utility bill, bank statement or council rates notice, no more than 3 months old, showing your name and residential address.
  • Proof of payment method: photo of the front of your card (middle digits may be masked) with your signature, or a screenshot of your e-wallet or crypto wallet showing your account name.
  • Source of funds documents, only when requested (see the next section).

Step by Step Verification

We built the process to be finished in a single sitting if your documents are in order. Upload everything through the secure verification tab in your account profile; nothing is accepted by email or live chat.

  • 1. Log in and open the Verification tab in your account settings.
  • 2. Upload each document separately, one file per document, in JPG, PNG or PDF format under 10 MB.
  • 3. Our compliance team reviews the files, usually within 24 hours.
  • 4. If anything is unclear, we contact you by email with a specific request, never a vague rejection.
  • 5. Once approved, your withdrawal is released and your account is marked as fully verified.
  • Documents are stored on encrypted servers, access is restricted to the compliance team, and files are transferred over TLS-encrypted connections. We never share your verification data with third parties except where the law compels us.

When We Ask for Source of Funds

For the vast majority of players, ID and address checks are the end of the process. We request source of funds (SOF) evidence only when your deposit or betting pattern suggests funds beyond what we would expect, or when a transaction is flagged by our monitoring systems. This is a legal requirement, not a judgement about you.

If we ask, acceptable evidence includes recent payslips, tax returns, bank statements showing regular income, a signed declaration for crypto sourced from exchange accounts, or documents confirming the sale of assets. We tell you exactly what is missing, and deposits made with funds under review are held, not confiscated, while the matter is resolved.

How We Monitor Transactions

Every deposit and withdrawal on our platform passes through automated screening, with manual review for flagged activity. Withdrawals are returned to the same method used for the deposit wherever possible, which is the same-method rule designed to stop funds moving through your account on behalf of someone else.

Our limits are 8,000 AUD per day and 16,000 AUD per week for withdrawals, with a minimum of 80 AUD for both deposits and withdrawals. Crypto withdrawals are processed within 24 hours, e-wallets the same day, and bank transfers take 1-3 business days. We charge no fees on either side, and every transaction is logged for our audit trail.

What Happens If Verification Fails

We act proportionately at every stage, but persistent non-cooperation ends in account closure. If verification fails, the sequence is predictable.

  • Missing documents: withdrawals are suspended within 48 hours of our request; deposits may continue.
  • Unclear or edited documents: we request replacements and hold the pending withdrawal.
  • Failed verification: all account activity is frozen until the matter is resolved.
  • Refusal to comply: the account is closed, remaining balance is returned to the verified source account, and the account is reported to the FIAU if suspicion of money laundering exists.
  • You may appeal any decision by emailing [email protected] with your account number and the reference from our decision email.

How Long We Keep Your Records

Maltese AML law requires us to retain verification records for five years after your account is closed or the last transaction is completed, whichever comes later. Retention protects you as much as us: it evidences that your funds and identity were properly checked if a regulator or bank ever questions a transaction.

Once the retention period ends, documents are permanently deleted from our servers. At any point while we hold them, you may request a copy of the personal data we hold, or ask us to correct an error, under data protection law.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to verify my account before depositing?

No. You can register, deposit and play after basic electronic checks at sign-up. Full document verification is triggered by your first withdrawal.

How long does verification take?

Most reviews are completed within 24 hours of upload. If we need clearer documents, we will email you with a specific request, and the clock restarts once you respond.

Can I withdraw to a different method than I deposited with?

As a rule we return withdrawals to the same method you used to deposit. Where this is technically impossible, for example with Neosurf or CashtoCode, we pay to a verified bank account or wallet in your own name.

Will you close my account if I refuse SOF documents?

Withdrawals are suspended first, and the account is closed only if you persistently refuse to cooperate. Held funds are returned to their verified source, not kept by us.

Are my documents safe?

Yes. Files are encrypted at rest, transferred over TLS, and access is limited to the compliance team. We never sell or share verification data, except where the law requires disclosure.
